Approximation of optimal control for functional-differential equations by optimal control of equations without delay in infinite-dimensional spaces

Abstract


The problem of optimal control for a functional-differential equation of parabolic type in a Banach space is studied. An approximation procedure is proposed, which consists of replacing the original equation by the system of parabolic equations without delay. It is proved that the optimal control for such a system weakly converges to the optimal control of the original problem.
